Because sometimes you just need to ask someone.
Working in Public Housing means navigating HUD regulations, notices, handbooks, systems, deadlines, acronyms, and plenty of situations where the answer isn't always as clear as we'd like it to be.
And sometimes you have a question you hesitate to ask because:
“I feel like I should already know this.”
“We've always done it this way…but is it actually right?”
“I've gotten three different answers from three different people.”
“Can someone PLEASE explain what HUD actually means?”
That's what Ask Lisa is for.
Use the comments below to submit your question. You can comment anonymously, you don't have to identify yourself or your PHA.
Questions can be about things like HOTMA, HCV, Public Housing, EIV, NSPIRE, PHA Plans, policies, tenant files, HUD notices, compliance, staff training, day-to-day operations, or simply something you've encountered and aren't sure how to handle.
☕ What Happens After You Ask?
I'll review the questions submitted and answer selected questions through the PHA HUB, Coffee & Compliance with Lisa, or the Daily PHA Clipping Service.
If your question needs a deeper explanation, I may even turn it into a new FREE PHA HUB tool, checklist, quick-reference guide, or training resource.
🔒 One Important Rule
Please do not include resident names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, medical information, or other personally identifiable/confidential information in your question.
If you're asking about a situation, change the names and identifying details. I only need the facts necessary to understand the question.
